Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have to be a NJ resident?

Yes. At the moment, it’s not practical for non-residents to be adequately treated at Cherry Hill Free Clinic. It’s easier, and more convenient, to seek charitable care within your own state.

Is everything really 100% free?

Yes. We don’t have a cash register or billing system. Even our auxiliary services offered through our partners are 100% free. There’s no cost to patients at all. We’re a nonprofit 501C3 charity organization. And we’re determined to give those caught in the cracks of our healthcare system the same access that others enjoy.

How much do labs/imaging cost?

No cost. They’re covered through our strategic partnership with neighboring health care systems.

Do you see children?

No (Visit NJ Family Care’s website, as they offer state subsidized care for children.)

Do you do immunization?

No. ( However, check the NJ Dept. of Health’s website for free options offered by the state. )

I need medication for my ADHD?

We do not prescribe any controlled substances. But if you’re uninsured and live in NJ, we can see you and then refer you to a physician that can help.

I am pregnant. Can you help?

Unfortunately we do not provide GYN services. However, NJ Family Care offers many options specifically for pregnant women. Also other organizations that are equipped to help you are CamCare GYN (856) 583-2400. Virtua Center for Women (856) 247-7600.

Do you perform abortion/birth control?

Do you do x-rays in the clinic?

We offer free x-rays and radiological services through our partners, not directly at our office. And these services are based on your healthcare provider’s professional recommendation.

I need stitches?

We do not do surgery’s in the office. If you feel you need stitches, please visit your nearest emergency room. We can take care of you after you’re released however.

Do you provide urgent care?

We will try our best to accommodate you with the next available appointment, which is usually in about 4 days. But for an emergency, dial 911 or visit the hospital right away.

Do you provide eye care exams?

Do you provide dental services?

Unfortunately not. But we hope to soon.

Do you offer psychiatric services?
